Jules was rescued a few months ago from a dumpster in Burke County, Georgia by Suzann Hooper – she was emaciated, starving, and apparently had given birth recently but no puppies were ever found. Suzann reached out for help on Facebook and Kathy Ellis, founder of Hands to Paws Organization in Augusta, stepped in and took her under her wing. Jules is currently staying at Winding Lane Kennels in Aiken and getting great care from the owner, Kelli, but really needs to be in a home environment.
Jules was vetted and diagnosed with heartworms and has one more treatment to go. She will be spayed when she gains more weight. Unfortunately some idiot thought it was a good idea to cut her ears themselves – but it doesn’t take away from her charm…it adds to it.
